Day seven:
Up relatively early after the drinking of the night before. 7:45. Matt and I headed down to meet glen at half 8 and we did another swim to the coffee pontoon although this time I did not use fins which I was quite pleased with.
Got back to the ranch and we decided to play golf, so at 12:30 we went to play the ocean course @ Kona country club. Course was in ok condition considering the price, but the views and scenery on some of the holes more than made up for the condition of the course.
Simply breathtaking. A 220 yard par 3 was the highlight for me. Volcanic rock cliffs into the water all the way along the right with the green tucked right up to the cliffs edge. Steph won, she was awesome although is always demanding more of herself! She made a genuine par on a par 4 and often bogey'd the par 3's!!
We went round to Mary's that night (she is a friend of glen and Anne's, who has come out to support him) for a BBQ. I was absolutely shattered and could hardly keep my eyes open. Tea was not nice as steaks were chewy and baked potatoes were dry. I have more than made up for one bad meal tho!
Got home and fell straight asleep.
