Day nine:
Nice relaxing morning spent round the pool! Found a LILO so blew that up and floated around! Steph, Alison and Steve went shopping.
When they got back we went down and met up with Australian crew! Anne had flown in (glens wife) so we all say down and had a lovely, but expensive lunch on the seafront at a restaurant called the sea hopper. After which bevs boyfriend (Jared) stood up and starting making a speech at the end he got down on one knee and proposed!! She accepted. It was very romantic and has now set the bar, although I reckon I could easily raise it!!
Afterwards we went for a snorkel and saw many of the fish I had previously seen with the addition of a moray eel. The highlight however was watching three turtles feeding near shore for about half an hour!!
As a collective we decided that we couldn't come to Hawaii without seeing a leaua!! It started at five and we watched the sunset whilst feasting on a traditionally cooked pig! Which was cooked in a fire pit for the day and had been wrapped in banana leaves (the Hawaiian equivalent of pulled pork)!
Lots of traditional dances celebrating the history of the Hawaiian islands, finished with the fire dance which was amazing!
Finished with an early night as we had to be up at 4;45 to support glen in his ironman!!
