We arrived in Vientiane after getting another overnight bus up from Pakse, which ended up being a nearly 9 hour marathon of 90's soft rock which should have stayed in the 90's!
There isn't a lot to see here but the atmosphere is relaxed and there are plenty of amazing restaurants which we're making the most of. Ben has even eaten chicken tails on a stick - but that was by accident, he also didn't feel brave enough for the other delights on offer including a stick of tongues, crickets and chicken livers.
We've been over the see Pha That Luang, a big gold temple and the Buddha Park which is a park full of huge concrete Buddhas. We're moving onto Vang Vieng tomorrow for some infamous tubing down the Mekong.
