With Anglo-European relations damaged this week courtesy of Mr Cameron, we took the hostilities one step closer with an obnoxious French couple on our overnight bus from Luang Prabang whom were sat behind us on the bus, resulting in something which came close to world war three!!
Given that we were all on a sleeping bus and all had to endure and equally rough and bumpy nights sleep, this miserable couple complained every time we reclined our seat back beyond upright, causing numerous arguments. At this point everyone had their chairs reclined for sleeping including the frogs behind, but they still complained, saying that we should sleep in the upright position so that they could have room for their legs. Notwithstanding the fact that we actually had the wheel under our feet so we had less room than most, they would not acknowledge that they and everyone else needed to recline their seats in order to sleep.
Thankfully we came to a compromise so we could at least get some sleep, despite the groans of "you are breaking my knees" from the man - something which would have been a pleasure if he had kept on moaning much longer.
We have since had some sleep in our hotel and are enjoying a relaxing day beside the Mighty Mekong River ahead of the Gibbon Experience.

Mummags It takes all sorts, and in the years to come you will always remember that certain overnight bus ride.
