Well today was absolutely fantastic! Two of us from the hostel decided to spend the first part of our day at one of the famous baths in Budapest. So. Worth. It. The pools range in size from a large outdoor pool to small dunk pools indoors. The temperatures range from about 16C to 40C, while the saunas go up to about 75C (about 160F)..
My favorite parts of my time at the baths (nearly four hours) were the sauna around 55C that had menthol going into the room (felt so fantastic for your lungs!), the current pool (so much fun!), and just lying in a pool around 37-38 just relaxing. I can truly say I haven't felt that physically relaxed in a LONG time.. certainly worth the 3400 forint (oh.. 15 American dollars!)
Hung out with people from the hostel in the evening, watched a movie and played some drinking games before we went out to a few places. Not being hugely into the club scene (especially when in a country that smoking isn't banned in clubs!), I retired pretty early! I will wake up and head to Prague in the morning, should be there around 16:00. Looking forward to my next city, but will miss Budapest and especially the people of Tiger Tim's!
