Today starts again at 7am where we get breakfast and pack our bags for Italy. Got in a quick Skype call to the family back home in Australia before getting onto the coach.
We stopped off for lunch near the border where we had burritos and cheese. Liam was awarded top d*** of the day because he cut himself while opening a bottle at the bar last night and when asked if he needed a bandaid, he said 'I'll be right.' and wrapped a sheet around it before passing out in bed, blood trailing behind him.
We then headed into the city of Pisa where I took my first cheesy photo of the trip - me holding up the leaning tower! It was built on marshland with no strong foundations back when they obviously didn't have Geotech's to help them out. Pisa was not pretty. In actual fact, it was a bit of a slum and reminded me a bit of Indonesia. People were tying to sell off stolen goods and Phil told us it was illegal to buy anything off them.
After Pisa, we got back on the bus and rolled on to Florence which is quite pretty and stayed in a really nice hostel. I shared a room with Christine, Tess and Alysha who are all really lovely.
We headed in for dinner and then to the bar for a night cap before an earlier bed time than usual at 12am.
