After dinner we headed out on a night bus tour to see the lights of Paris. It ran from 9:30 to 11:30 because it doesn't get dark here until about 10pm! It's very strange and you lose track of time so fast.
We saw some of the beautiful sites of Paris including the Louvre - where the Mona Lisa painting resides, Notre Dame, Napolean's tomb, the Moulin Rouge and of course the Eiffel Tower - which is stunning at night time. It's true what they say about pictures not being able to do it justice.
We did have a bit of an accident when Mick, our bus driver ran into a taxi and damaged the front end causing a bit of a delay. Our tour guide, Phil then explained to us that we get to decide on a top deck - top d*** of the day. We decide on a person who does the dumbest thing and name them top d*** where thy have to wear a necklace and add something to the necklace when they get crowned the top d*** of the day.
After the bus tour, a few of us headed round the corner from the hotel to a local bar where we ordered a few drinks and got to know each other.
Brad and Grant were boys from Tasmania and then Hayden, Christine and I made up our little group.
The bar man shut up shop and let us continue drinking and when we said we needed to go and eat, they cooked us dinner on the house as they couldn't let us back in after we left and nothing else would have been open in that part of town.
Naturally, a few beers turned into a lot of beers and we stumbled home and into bed at around two that morning.
Grant found his roommate brad hunched over his iPad, naked the next morning and so we decided to tell everyone he had four beers, vomited and passed out. This won him top d*** of the day and a new nickname, "cotton" because he's soft.
