This morning we caught the bus into the city centre where we stopped off at the Louvre for one of our 'free' days. Was looking forward to going in but our group of seven walked for 15 minutes and still couldn't find the back of the line. We didn't want to waste a lot of time so we headed to the river where we came across the famous padlock bridge. After dinner we headed out on a night bus tour to see the lights of Paris. It ran from 9:30 to 11:30 because it doesn't get dark here until about 10pm! It's very strange and you lose track of time so fast. We saw some of the beautiful sites of Paris including the Louvre - where the Mona Lisa painting resides, Notre Dame, Napolean's tomb, the Moulin Rouge and of course the Eiffel Tower - which is stunning at night time. The ferry to France was bigger than I expected with full restaurant on board and numerous cafe's, and of course the bar. We had a full English breakfast and then headed over to the pub for a few.
