After a long bus journey (again!) we arrived in Brisbane. We had a cranky bus with no air con, it was so hot!

As we were entering Brissie, I saw big sky scraper buildings, and masses of built up area. Nothing like what I've seen before whilst we've been travelling.

We stayed in a hostel called 'The Bunk'. It was a wicked boutique type hostel, it even had hair straightners to hire! Of course I didn't need them coz I brought my own! We stayed in a part of Brisbane called Fortitude Valley, which was supposed to be the entertainment part of the city. It had a Chinatown and a major street full of clubs, bars and fast food restaurants, certainly a place for backpackers.

We ventured around the shops sorting out some xmas pressies. There were so many shops and so many people, I actually wished I back up north by the secluded beaches away from shops...can you believe that?! We ended up hiring bikes to explore the city!

The next day we hired a car ready for our trip down the Gold Coast. We visited a place called Mooloolaba where we went to an Underwater World, which is like a Aquarium but better. We hugged, kissed and played with a seal!

The next day we visited Steve Irwin's Australia Zoo, It was the best zoo i've ever been to. Every animal had massive pens and areas. We saw the famous Croc Show in the 'Crocoseum'. Mark made me hold a massive 4 metre Python and have my pic taken, you should see how scared I look!

Brisbane, as a whole was an ok place but we couldn't wait to move on and see a little more of the coast, city's do my head in! I'm now a laid back Ozzie!
