Hello everyone. It's Eamon here, I thought I had better write a blog seeing that I haven't written anything and we have been here for four months. It's not that I don't have anything to say, it's just that Rebecca has been very good at putting photos and blogs on this site, where the only sites I have been on are building sites. I'm a bit of a ludite when it comes to technology; Rebecca is the master of that domain. Lesley was here last month and I think she enjoyed her time here immensely; I even got her to try a Guinness. I know it was only two weeks but we managed to see quite a lot. The first week Bec and Lesley drove around then I had a week off so we went on a road trip which was very good, Rebecca has already filled you in on the places we went and what we did, but all up I think Lesley had a great time. After Lesley left we had Denises daughters christening which turned into a right session. Then that week we had the boy's birthdays, Ciaran was four and Connor was seven. They both got great presents, Ciarans best present was a keyboard and Connors was a guitar which he has wanted because he is going to be in a rock band. The boys are good and well settled, enjoying school. During the week they sometimes drop in and we will get some bread and go and feed the already obese ducks down at the river Slaney which runs through Tullow. Rebeccas birthday was then celebrated over the week, we went out to a beautiful Thai restaurant in Carlow. We had to go to Carlow because the range of culinary delights in Tullow is limited. But we had a good night. Then that weekend Barbara came down from Dublin, Bec had organized a girl's night out, they all seemed to have a great time. That weekend I headed off to Galway on the train with Liam and about ten other lads for Liam's brothers stag, it was a great weekend, plenty of singing and laughter. Everyone had right craic. Unfortunately Liam rang me the next Sunday and told me that one of the lads from that weekend had died, suicide. It really shocked me and everyone else. It goes to show that on the surface people can seem quiet happy and content but they are not. I think this is a sad story and such a waste of a life. On to happier things now. Bec had one wish for this year and that was to see Sinead OConnor in concert. We went last night and it was very good, (we arrived early so got right up the front), it was in the grounds of Dublin castle, an outdoor concert and luckily it didn't rain. She doesnt do many concerts so we were lucky to see her, and Bec got her wish. Today we got up and went to the point to point horse races with Karen, Danny, Siobhan and the boys, which was a good day out. We had a few bets but no joy, its a mugs game backing horses, and I don't recommend it. So other than that we are both busily working away. I'm working for a timber framing company which I enjoy and Bec is teaching at a small school in Shillalagh, this is her forth week there.rnWe have booked tickets for Paris and Berlin in July with Sean (buzz) and then we are heading off to Poland where my polish lessons will hopefully come in handy. There we are going to Krakow and Auschwitz then catching a Pa chonk (train) across to Prague where we spend a week traveling around. I hope all is well over there in Australia, I hear you finally got rain so that should cheer you up, but then again having little Johnny Howard as your prime minister I understand if you are feeling down. Take care. Eamon.
