Ballon is a small town just outside Tullow, it is where Connor goes to school and Ciaran goes to Child Care. Last week the childcare centre was opened by Mary McAleese, the Irish President. I went to the opening, this was a huge day in Ballon! Ciaran was lucky enough to be chosen as the student to give her the welcome card from the child care centre, I didn't see him do this so no photos, however he was very excited!

She gave a great speech, the highlight for the students was when she suggested that they should not have to do homework that night due to all the hard work they had done getting ready, the teachers had to agree with that!
