Sadly we left Puerto Igauzu and headed on a 24hr bus journey to Salta in the north of Argentina. The bus was nothing like I've ever been on before. Emirates didn't even get a look in! Leather recliner seats, plasma TVs, wifi, food and better still drink!!! 100% the easiest bus trip I have ever done! We arrived at a hostel in Salta - nothing short of a dungeon! We cleaned up, left our bags and got out of there as quick as possible and set off to explore salta. We sat in the main square of salta which has a real European feel to it and got food and had a sneaky birthday drink which I must say set me up nicely for all the random things we ended up doing! We wandered into a museum which was meant to show us mummies (we saw one)! I was expecting to see big human like objects wrapped in white bandages!!! We didn't to say the least! However what we did see was a child who had been mummified at 7 years old and now was been preserved in a glass incasement. It was very creepy. The rest of the museum consisted on a bunch of old shoes and other junk. Then on having enough of old artefacts we decided to jump on a tour bus with a bunch of old artefacts!!! We were shown all these cathedrals and old buildings but we just basked in the sun and tried to avoid tree tops or electric cables smashing us in the face (we were on a top less double decker bus). I'd say we were a sight for sore eyes!
