hey everyone!
has been another averagely busy week but less activities this time and more bus journies!
following cycling and White water rafting we were both feeling pretty knackered and drained as our constant business caught up with us! therefore we decided to take a couple of days to chillout on bariloche partly due to us both feeling a bit ill and due to the earthquake in chile! however, after two days on small beaches and eating fruit we got a bus to pucon!
the aim was to climb the volcano in chile but on arrival it was closed and the following dy they said it wouldn't be open for at least another week! despite the town being deaserted following the earthquake it was still very pleasant but many of the activities had closed. a big plus was our cheapish luxury dorm for 6 that we had to ourselves which had a jacuzzi bath, sitdown shower and his and her sinks! however after one night we decided the place was pretty dead and got a bus to mendoza! it wad good to know we were moving on from chile but first of all we had to go via Santiago!
the road on the way was amazing! as everyone slept I looked out the window as we went through the slow areas and saw the roads literaly split in two! the earthquake had caused huge cvernous holes in areas and split seemingly solid surfaces! was pretty stunning.
a flying visit to Santiago where we had two hours after breakfast o see the city was pretty good! we hit every main aight apart from the hill viewpoint and saw a scenic tour in a taxi! amazing markets, few statues and another city was done lol! some may say we missed the charm!
another bus journey to Mendoza took us to around 30hours on buses in a few days but the views of the Andes were breathtaking!
today in Mendoza was the middle of the wine festival - a lilttle free wine, processions and some sight seeing felt like a proper welcome! horse riding tomorrow, paragliding later in the week and may look into skydiving :) (don't worry mum!)
love to all byeeeee
