Well, mostly I have done a lot of walking, Berlin is pretty big! Spent the first day walking round Alexanderplatz, which is near my hostel, and then walked down Unter den Linden, the main street all the way to the Brandenburg Gate. Every building is huge and ornate. It's been pretty warm. Got a nice big salami pizza at a nice restaurant. It's good to practice my german even if it's really basic stuff. Got chatting to Eric and we went to find a nightclub...the one...

Went to the Zoo! It was totally awesome, I love cute animals and I was there for about 4 hours going through all the different areas. Also got to watch the sea lions get fed (and throw a fish in), there were some younger ones showing off on the rock trying to get fish, and then every now and again this massive one would just dive onto the rock and slide over it lol. There was also a mother sea lion with a tiny baby that was so cute! By the end I was shattered tho...

Did a bit of socializing last night, joined a couple of Californian guys in drinking at the hostel bar. It's a pretty cool place, and had a few drinks and lots of laughs. We were trying to set up one guy with some Australians. I apparently am the coolest and most awesome person ever, which is obvious ;) Stayed until the bar shut, then we wandered off into the Red Light District. Sooo many houses are brothels, with girls in all the windows stood in their underwear...

Well, it's been one full day in Amsterdam! I arrived last night pretty late, and walking down the street to my hostel was full of shops selling magic mushrooms, "coffee shops" and sex shops, but mostly it's all the football fans that are scary lol. The hostel is nice - a popular bar with wifi (hence me on here) cheap drinks and good music, and the room is clean. A towel was provided thankfully - I can't fit anything more in my backpack lol.
