Technically i was here for an hour lay over in 2008 so the title works :P. What a great start to the trip....got on the plane and realize no one is sitting in the 2 seats next to me so i was able to stretch out and sleep the whole flight. Who needs to spend the $$ on business and first class lol.

I took the Airport Express to Hong Kong station and met up with John. How convienent is that? I was in the city in 24 mins and cost me next to nothing. We grabbed a cab from Central to my hotel which cost $3 CDN. FU Toronto taxis, charging me $4.50 as soon as the meter starts.....blah. Taxi's are soooo cheap here. After checking in my hotel, which isn't bad, John and i took the shuttle bus to Times Square. Had to get a sim card for my iPhone and grabbed some Taiwanese noodle soup. So good and was cheap. We walked around a bit and i took a few pictures but it's with my old iPhone 3G so the quality is not that good. More pictures to come. 10:30 at night on a Monday and the streets are still as busy as rush hour at Eaton Centre lol.

I only seen a very small part of the city but i'm looking forward to exploring the rest of Hong Kong. Good times ahead. Stayed tuned.
FYI, if you are ever in Asia, don't pay the $6-8 for a Heineken from the mini bar when you can buy a 6 pack from 7-11 for $6.80 CDN...LMAO....
