As we was hoping to spend our time at the Lagoon area, to sunbath, read our book and to have a swim. But the weather looks quite miserable - quite cloudy and raining. So we decided to walk to the DFO (Direct Factory Outlet) shopping centre. We thought it was near to our hostel, so we walked, and walked, it was 40 minutes away! But as least we had our carbonate burned! As we entered the shopping centre, we already see plenty of '80% off' or 'Sale' signs. They has certainly glowed Sara and Charlene's eyes! Not three of us! Anyway, those two girl walked around, doing bit of shopping, and three of us trying our hardest to survive (thanks to angry bird to keep us entertained!). I wanted to go and have a look at Camera shop, just before I came in, my Nikon D5000 (18-55mm) Lens couldn't even rotate fully to 55mm mode, it only came up to 22mm (yes broken!). I was so disappointed and very worried! As I came in the shop, obviously I asked the specialist about it. Typically they advised me to pay a new Lens from their store! But however I did consider to purchase Tamron (18-270mm F/3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD) Lens which have 'three in one' lens to have less lens to carry etc. It was $699. I saw it on magazine in airport to Sydney. But I wanted to talk with my dad before rushing my decision. But as I got out of the shop, the lens is back to normal, rotating to 55mm! I couldn't believe it! But I can tell the lens need to be repaired (probably better off buying new one!). So the worry is over! Hopefully the Len will survive through the next 5 weeks especially at New Zealand which should need plenty of shots on the landscape. Anyway, we head back to the central to have something to eat, as Kirsty recommend us to go to Hogs Breath. So we went there (it where Kirsty works in Brisbane - chain restaurant). It was quite expensive but certainly worth it!
