Like I said yesterday that we would need to pick up our hire Hyundai Getz at 9am. So we need to get up and get ready, have breakfast etc. Charlene and Asher went to the hire car office to sort out the paper work etc. The rest of us caught up 15 minutes later. As we arrived the office, the car was ready to jet us off to Port Douglas! So we got in the car, it was very first time for Charlene to drive at abroad. Off we went, we didn't need Sat-Nav as the direction to there is very easy, basically just one road to get there. She had to drive over the mountain, so the road is very steep and obviously very bendy. We arrived and it was only an hour drive. Unfortunately it started to rain, we should really expect that as it tropical weather. We walked around and have a bit of shopping, it was a quite small town, just like Thirsk. We then moved on to the famously '4 miles beach', the weather hasn't been good, it was gloomy and quite cold. We walked along the beach, browsing around the tropical forest next to it. There was hundreds of old and new coconut nut. We then saw very old dead toad, lying on the beach with it eyes missing, it was disguising! Finally the sun start shine, everything becomes very hot - so we grabbed the opportunity to sunbath on the beach. Me, Asher and Dominic was very tempted to go and swim in the sea, we told each other to 'Man up', then yes we went for a swim. It was fantastic! There was plenty of waves and it was boiling hot. We decided to head back Cairns, and we dried up. Dominic hasn't got spare short to wear so he has to borrow Sara's girly short, it was so funny and he was very obvious embarrassed! Anyway, as we return Cairns, we went for 'Woolshed Restaurant as the hostel gave us voucher for a free meal each :) it was quite late so we returned hostel for our bed! Night night.
