hey hey
after a few entries pretending to be from sydney (the website didnt wanna locate HK for me)
tues 24 sooo i arrived in sydney to rain and coldness, so dumped my bag down and wandered towards the rocks which is where the first lot of criminals were placed when they arrived from uk. found a gd bar and drank talking to the local bartender for a couple hrs about good beaches to go to etc. he was called greg too- freaky eh?? after my morning drinking session i wandered the streets of sydney to get sorted and then chilled back at the hostel.
weds 25 (i think!) woke up more f***ing rain (kinda wished i was back in the manc sun. and never thought i'd be saying that!) so i headed towards the powerhouse museum (like the science n industry musuem) and i had sooo much fun and managed to watch the utd highlights too on line. walked around darling harbour (the other side of the harbour bridge) whi ch was really nice ,though it would have been better in the sun shine. there was a chinese garden too, so i managed to drink some chinese tea and maintain my calm karma!)
in the eve in did the harbour bridge walk which was amazing, the views were brilliant the guide told us loads about the history of it, all about the area and all the s*** it was made out it- it weighs less than the opera house too! so after walkin over 1000 steps and 2 hrs i was 'persuaded' by so me navy guys to go drinking with them! we played this game called two up- where u bet on either heads or tails; and which every it lands on they win the money, and i won about 40 bucks of this guy! went back to the hostel and started drinking some 'goon' or wine in a box till 3am and then watched the liverpool game till 6.
thurs 26Â after the heavy nite before i took it easy and caught the ferry to manly beach. the ferry itself gave some pretty good views of both sides of sydney and the harbout itself. the beach of manly was awesome (cant compare it to bo ndi cos i'll do that next time i go to sydney) but it was pretty cool, agin would have been better had it been sunny and i was surfin but hey ho ..the gold coast is better!! didn't reaLLY do too much in the eve, but saw sunshine at the cinema..actually very good but not for you lewis!
friday 27th today i got on the bus to the blue mountains, which are abot 2 hrs and 120 km east from sydney. saw some black kangaroos in the wild on our first stop they were pretty cool and were used to us so we got within a few feet of them :-) after that we went for a few walks around the mountains, up steep climbs, seeing waterfalls and generally gettin to see the vast wilderness of it...the views were breathtaking and went on ur ages- actually the whole site is world heritage listed and is the size of switzerla nd!
right internet time is over nearly so i'll fill u guys in on my surfing experiences and why i had to eat my tea on saturday in a dress.....
