Got up at 12, Michael said his alarm went off at 8 as we wanted to go to the early closing things today, he just turned it off though! Ha
Went for noodle soup as I'm turning into an Asian and they all have it for breakfast! Seriously, when I do come home I will need to find a place that sells this!
Don't know when I am coming home though, Michael looked at flights from Bangkok to London for September when he goes home but I don't know what to do! Thinking working in Australia is probable though but who knows!
At half 1 I grabbed the map and dragged Michael to come and see some sights!
We walked to the lake again then down a street that goes off it, I am a top map reader so we didn't get lost at all, not even a speckle! Well... maybe a speckle of a dot. We asked somebody though and I wasn't far off!
We went to the Memorial Historic House first, it cost 20000 dong (£0.60) to get in. It is a restored Chinese style house. Local merchants used to live here. They had a lot of musical instruments on the walls! My uncle Russell would have loved it! It was beautiful!
We then saw the 'Orchid Restaurant' where we want to do Vietnamese cooking classes! Went to book one of these for Friday! Actually can't wait! I chose to learn, spring rolls, stir fry Vietnam style vegetables and snake fish clay pot! It is costing us 800000 dong (£24) each so it is expensive but you get taxi rides, all the food, visits to markets and it's recommended by lonely planet! We each put a deposit down of 400000 (£12).
I followed the map and took us a bit further towards the city gate! It's huge but we walked straight past it! I'm so dopey! It was a big square stone structure! I thought it would be beaut. It was ok! Its still part of the main road so was busy. We sat at a restaurant opposite it and had a lemon juice!
There is a lot of lady's with those basket trays attached to a plank of wood balancing on there shoulders here. It looks like those old fashioned weighing food scales. This one lady was carrying about 20 metal pans if not more! Bless her little cotton sock, with sandals!
I then guided us to the Dong Xuan Market! It. Was. Huge!!! It was 3 levels of pure madness! There was no organisation of where things are! Food next to clothes next to cosmetics next to shoes next to toys next to electrics next to watches. It was crazy! We didn't buy anything at all though!
Walked home after this! We accidentally gave a lady the equivalent of £20 for to Oranges! It's a good job she was real honest about life! 20000 and 200000 look the same though I don't have the time to by counting all the zeros! I'm a busy girl!
Had tea down the street at a place called lucky. The vegetables here are so nice!
Got ready and went out at 9.30 to GC bar! Americas next top model british invasion was on the tv so we didnt speak to anyone and just watched it! After I messaged mother to let her know if she was not recording it I would not return home as I am her only child (ish) and am on a different continent!
Met everyone from before! Everyone is so lovely here! We walked to Maos bar with Boban and stayed there till 12.30! No one was really out, everyone was tired and Maos air con had broken so we all headed home!
Me and Michael stopped for noodle soup on the way home! Whats new! It's real lush about life though!
At least Michael don't sick it all up tonight!
