Arrived in London last night! It was a big effort getting here even though the flight is only 50 minutes. I got to Amsterdam airport so early accidentally because I had to check out of my hostel at 9 and didn't want to walk around with my bag everywhere so I thought public transport would take a while but it was really fast!
Amsterdam airport is massive. It even has a casino! I put 4 euro in a poker machine and took out 10 euro so I was really happy with that and I used it to buy some lunch.
The flight boarded on time but we got delays once we were already on the plane. We did circles around London for an hour before landing and having nowhere to park. Dad would've hated it! Customs took a while but on the positive side London have a really good public transport system so it was very easy for me to get from the airport to my hostel.
My room in the hostel is nice! I have a private room again so I have a double bed all to myself and then a top bunk bed where i've put all of my stuff to keep it off the floor. Its a far more social hostel than my last one and I already made some friends last night. I met this Australian guy who is a skydiving instructor. It was so good to have a proper conversation as I didn't speak to anybody in Amsterdam. His roommates then came down to join us. One was a really friendly Indian-American who works in the fashion industry back home doing events, and the other was an Italian guy who doesn't speak English so I don't know what he does haha. I took myself to bed at 9:30 because I was a bit sleepy and wanted to have lots of energy for today.
Today I'm going to get on one of the hop-on-hop-off London busses and just get off anywhere that I find interesting. Don't want to wait in queues for too long so if something is too packed i'll just have to skip it! There are a few places that I really want to see though so i'll line up for them. I want to try some Indian food while i'm here because apparently it's really good in London. I'm excited for the day ahead!

Dad All sounds good to me Youngann! Like I said in my earlier email - there is soooo much to do in london. See what you can but don't waste hours in lines waiting to see whatever. The Indian and Pakistani food should be really authentic in London however I will not expand on that comment! Be careful with potential grubs as they do prey on tourists in London - no jewells or even a hand bag. Talk soon and LOL, Dad
Mum Hi Annie Cannot wait to hear of your London excursion. Love Mum
