Arrived in Amsterdam! It wasn't a painful day of travelling, everything went rather smoothly actually. Woke up this morning at 5am and met Pru and Tim in the lobby at 5:30 and they paid for the taxi to the airport which was so nice of them.
London airport is so great, it's really easy to navigate and there's heaps to do there between flights! I went to Gordon Ramsay's restaurant just so I could say I've been to one haha. The restaurant has a really cool idea which is takeaway food for the plane. They have a certain menu and they pack it in a box for you to take with you! I just had a smoothie there but I didn't like it because it was a mixed one and I usually only like banana.
The flight from London to Amsterdam was the fastest flight I've ever been on! It was great. I flew with British Airways for both flights and the captain came and said goodbye to everybody once the plane landed which was nice.
Caught a taxi from the airport to the hostel because otherwise I'd have to catch a train and then a tram, which I was going to do but the machine didn't take cash and my card wasn't working and I didn't want to hold up the line. At least this way I got dropped right outside my hostel and didn't get lost getting there!
I slept really well last night and was awake by 7:30. Came down to the lobby for breakfast because it's free between 7am and 10am. All we got was bread though and some jam..not even a toaster! But I didn't mind. I wandered up to the museum and saw heaps of Rembrandt paintings and objects from the 17th century. I then caught the canal boat to the Anne Frank museum. It was a long wait to get in, but it was a really interesting area. I didn't know too much about Anne Frank aside from the basics so it was good to learn. I didn't watch the videos there because they were rather graphic.
I then caught the canal back to my stop and took myself to get some lunch. Had a really good day and it's still so early! Don't know what I'm going to do tonight. I might go to dinner somewhere nice. Tomorrow i'm going to the Van Gogh museum and for a bike riding tour. I was able to get some photos to put on here because i took my iPhone out instead of my camera so it can connect to the internet.

Dad Great stuff Youngann, Photos look great - best ones are you on the boat and you in front of the big church. I don't go too much on scenary unless you are in the photo then I am interested. London airport sounds fantastic and you are now all checked into your hostel. Hopefully it is clean and in a good position. Heaps to do in London - wish I was there with you. All good here and the days are warming up. Mum is doing a great job on the house and I think you will really like it. Mitch is working well and his knee seems to be improving by the day. Have fun, relax, explore and enjoy. See you soon. Love, Dad
Liz Bridgewater Hi Annie, Boy, sounds like hard work all this travelling and drinking, more drinking, a bit of travelling and yet again more drinking! But I'm sure you're up to it. You seem to have met some nice people you get along with and go out with so that's good. You can all watch one another's back. Keep enjoying yourself (as if I need to tell you that), but stay happy and careful. Love from Aunty Liz & Uncle Dave
