Friday in Lima... we walked to some pretty incredible ruins that are in the middle of the Miraflores district. They have been excavating them for about 30 years now. The problem is that at one time it was private property, so they plowed through 3 blocks worth of ruins and built right over them. WE had our first encounter with the Peruvian Hairless Dog at the site. Cute, in an ugly sort of way!

We then went to Lima to see the monastery San Francisco. We took a tour and went into the catacombs. CRAZY!!!! There are 25,000 bodies buried in the catacombs.

Finished the night off with a dinner that featured dancers. They performed traditional dances, and at some point one of the Rhoades was up on stage too. It wasn't Chad or Makenna...

A lot of walking, a lot of taxi rides but most of all, a lot of fun!!
