We took another journey to some more ruins outside of Lima. They are considered just as important as Machu Picchu. Pretty impressive to see, and you only see a fraction of what is there.
There have been large amount of school groups everywhere we have gone. All of them have been gawking at Makenna, "nina"! The last group we saw took about two dozen pictures of her. She isn't quite understanding the big deal, but so far we have seen only about 10 Americans/Europeans with light skin. Her hair is the main attraction! In Parque Kennedy last night she had a little guy (about 2 years old) grab her hand and try to walk with her saying "Nina".
This is our last day at Lima before going to Easter Island. Lima is crazy, and the people here are horrible drivers! It is like putting your life on the line each time you try to take a taxi or walk across the street. The traffic is constant, even through the night, and the horn honking is relentless. Fortunately, I packed ear plugs.
