We arrived! After a delay last night getting in to Peru, we found our taxi driver waiting for us in a crowd of about 100 taxi drivers (no joke). After the scariest taxi ride ever, we arrived at our home for the first 3 days of our trip, Inka Frog. Cute little hostel in the Miraflores district of Lima.

Today we ventured down to the ocean. We walked through a series of parks that overlook the Pacific, high up on some cliffs. Beautiful! On our way down a thousand steps to get to the ocean, Chad took a nasty fall coming down a slippery set of wooden stairs. Unfortunately, he took me out in the fall too. So here we are lying on the steps in pain, and the little person crying because she thought we were badly hurt. Honestly, we are both suffering from bruising on our backs, but we will survive! We sat and had lunch at Rosa Nautica on the pier- very nice!

We walked back through Miraflores and came across Parque Kennedy, and tons of wild cats. Makenna was in heaven!

Tonight we went into Lima, there is a national holiday today and it was ridiculously crowded. We went to a park to watch some fountains, which were pretty impressive. We have learned that unlike Mexico, the Peruvian cab drivers don't speak English. Lesson learned- downloaded a translated app tonight.
