This afternoon a small group of us went wandering and happened upon the first of many temples we will no doubt encounter in China. The plants and trees were beautiful and we saw some native birds but absolutely no idea what they were!
We continued our exploration among the Chinese markets and stalls and came upon some interesting artefacts on the way.
We have a lovely pastry shop next door to the hotel so cake was in order once we made our way back to the hotel. Very yummy:). That was our reward for not getting run over in the chaotic traffic.
