And then their were 4 !!
The Last of The Summer Wine Crewe are back at it. David is a shadow of his former self due to his " only eat things that eat other things that can't talk or swim" or something like that.
Jon has a better tan than us all as this is a break for him between proper holidays.
Andy thanked me this morning for not letting him eat his own weight in crap food before the others arrived last night but he is currently chewing the table as we await our next meal.
Great cycling today but very flat. I had to get off and push over a speed bump in town as we have cycled 230 miles in the last 3 days without a single change of gradient . One gear for 3 days.
Roll on the return of the undulations.
I may regret that when we arrive in Southern Brittany. Allez Les Anglais tomorrow. APL
An absolutely typical (and great) days cycling with our two extra "boys". Flat pine forrest appear to cover most of France, we have cycled through mile after mile, gun barrel straight roads for infinity. J&D have taken up their previous duties of map man/navigator and treasurer respectively. We have talked EU exit to death, NO MORE! It's mayhem here, three people to talk to, there are more British cyclists here than French football supporters. AB.
Well, here we are again, following a successful flight, unscathed bikes (I don't know how the french baggage handlers realised i was one of the 48%) and (eventually) and a successful rendezvous with the A team. Great to be together again, the annual French holiday is now legend, and we don't care that we talk about the same things, and laugh at the same jokes, WE LOVE IT!! JPS
Well here we are again back in France, but it was different for me and Jon having flown in with our bikes for the first time. Steep learning curve packing bikes so they did not arrived damaged and compiled with airline requirements. Found Al and Andy in good form. First days cycling nice and flat. So a good start to the holiday. DH
