Hello!

Well, we have officially arrived in Telluride! What an interesting day!
We woke up in Crested Butte to tons of HUGE fluffy flakes falling all over the place. By the time we got done having breakfast at our favorite little coffee place and packed up the car, the parking lot had 1-2 fresh new inches. They were projected to get much more throughout the day... we were so bummed! We couldn't believe that it was snowing so well the day we were heading out! Crazy!!

The forecast for Telluride wasn't looking great.... it called for very minimal snow, and it wasn't supposed to start until later this evening.

The drive from Crested Butte to Telluride was very pretty, and much shorter than I expected! We rolled into town at about 3pm, and it was snowing like crazy! The drive into the mountain village is just beautiful.

We know everyone has told us over and over again how wonderful the Peaks hotel is, but we were totally blown away. We pulled up to the hotel to ask if we could check in early, and the valet guy unloaded our entire car, parked it, had everything delivered to our room, and took all of our gear to the "ski valet" before we could even say "yes please.." haha.. man oh man. The hotel is GORGEOUS. Our room is amazing.. we can't say enough good things. A whole other world for sure!

We took the fun little Gondola down into the town and walked around for a while tonight :) The town is adorable. It was freezing! We finally made our way over to Smuggler's Brewpub for dinner. Had an awesome meal, watched the football game and had some great drinks (I had a good red beer and Joey had a hot chocolate with peppermint schnapps.. haha).

After dinner we made our way back to the hotel. The snow has stopped for now, but it's supposed to carry on through the night, so cross your fingers for us! We are going to hit the hay early to get to the lifts as soon as they open... catch some freshies!! Yum!
