Arrived back into Bangkok from Chaing Mai yesterday morning, minus the two NewZealanders who flew out earlier. Headed straight for KoShan road where we said our goodbyes to Chris who was heading of to the islands. Hung about all day with Luke and Aidan, drank a few Chang beers (at 7.2%, 3 beers is enough to send anyone on their way!) then had to say goodbye to those guys aswell as they were also heading south to the islands. I would have gone but I have to watch the financial situation and to be honest, i needed a bit of a rest from all the train and bus journeys in the past few days.
Checked into the first guest house on the street, on hindsite maybe i should have asked to see the room first. Its very basic, whioch for the price you can expect (<3pounds a night for the twin room) but its very warm and stuffy with next to no aircon and the road outside is full of bars and clubs so very noisey. Lucky i brought ear plugs.
This is the first time in a month that i've been properly on my own, feels a bit weird. Always have been with a group of people or someone so far. So, i'm thinking of what i'm going to do to fill up the week and make it pass quicker so I'm in Nepal sooner. I'll let you know as soon as I know myself!
Bought another rucksack so im gona go try and flog my old one on the markets later, should not be too hard.
Apart from that, bit bored at the moment actually! Roll on Nepal i say
