So, Hollie, Lea and I are now in Saigon...... we just managed to make it to the bus on time after 4 alarms all failed to go off... probably due to the fact that they were set sometime erarlier that morning!
The bus journey down was rather 'interesting' as poor Lea ended up sitting beside a local man who kept trying to stroke her arm and leg when he thought she was asleep!!!!
Yesterday afternoon, when I went back to my centre, it turns out that they hadn't forgotten that I was leaving and the whole of the SCC staff turned up to say goodbye! They did a little presentation where I got some beautiful flowers and a gift bag with a photo frame and an Ankor watt magnet!
The actual founder of the centre said the sweetest thing- 'Even though they don't know how to tell you, it is clear to see that [the children] love you and don't want you to leave.' Awwww.... sniffle.
I ended up being dragged back into the stifling classroom to dance the macarina God knows how many times, but by the end of it I had taken sweaty to a whole new level! Nice, very nice! Another rather nice twist to the day was the new game of try-to-climb-the-teacher!!! One little kid, BrosHeng, was particularly keen on this, but the only problem was that as they went up... my trousers went down!!! A few of the monks and directors had to look away out of embarrassment! Tee hee, I'm sure that I also showed an outrageous amount of stomach!
Tomorrow, we are off to see some tunnels... which should be a rather unpleasant, claustrophobic experience... as well as being very interesting.
Gotta go... just drank a litre of freshly squeezed watermelon juice and nature calls!!!
