Good news!! We have jobs... Bad news!! We quit today! So that was 9 days of agony selling life insurance to gullible aussies in the call centre from hell. Initially the job sounded very appealing...starting at 12 everyday, working with like-minded travellers and more importantly guaranteed money. Day 1 and 2 were bearable with an intense training schedule, day 3 to 9 were sheer torture! Nikki and Amy K took to the work slightly better than Amy B, who was transferred on day 4 to the "special beginners class". Somehow her selling tactics weren't suited to the product. Nikki's prospects as the top death sales woman wowed the team leaders with her storming ahead on day one with a total of 3 sales! Amy K started slowly but steadily with a total of one sale on her first day, but the potential was clearly there for a more promising result later in the week. Nikki's power selling and enthusiasm began to fade and on day 5 was called into the office to be told of her demotion into the famous "special beginners class" to join Amy B. Amy K's performance was hindered due to a cold, cough and loss of voice and then found herself with the famous demotion to the "special beginners class". Day 10...back to square one, the job search begins again!!
