We crossed the border into country number 5, Malaysia. We arrived by ferry to the island of Langkawi. We stayed for one night on the beach strip which was very touristy and busy. We took advantage of it being a duty free island and bought the odd bottle of vino to take with us.
On the second day we moved to the Bon ton resort, which our lovely friends treated us to. We were slightly worried we would look out of place so we tried to make ourselves look as little like travellers as possible, Amy wore a dress and Richard in a shirt for arrival on which we were immediately greeted with cocktails! The resort had 6 malay houses on stilts, each with a different name. Our's was called yellow orchard and was beautifully decorated and furnished with a four poster bed that sat in the middle of the room. The outside bathroom had a wooden bath tub and a rain forest shower. We had lots of cats that slept on our balcony as next door to Bon ton was an animal shelter. We helped out and walked one of there dogs. We spent our 2 days there lazing by the pool and eating yummy food. It was bliss! Thank you friends!!
