Actually touring London turned out to be a whirlwind adventure!! After purchasing a two day London pass for some tourist sights and public transit pass to use Tuesday and Wednesday I realize I only have Tuesday as I fly out Wednesday morning, not Thursday! So on a mad dash and not getting to see the Stonehenge I met Eleanore bright and early. Fortunately we wanted to see all the same places and had the same amount of time to do it It was so nice to meet up with a familiar face to take in a small part of what London has to offer.
Eleanore and I started on a Thames River Cruise taking us to the Tower of London which I was surprised to find the royal family still occupies from time to time. We saw the crown jewels and took in some gruesome history. It's all so much to process.
We had lunch where the owner /manager knew GF They had the Genius bread that I am going to desperately be trying get at home (I've eaten two loaves while here, OMG it tastes like bread!!!). I had tomatoes and cheese on toast with a salad and Elle a traditional english breakfast. It was heaven!
Full bellies we visited the London Bridge. I know I can't take pictures of everything I see but I'll tell you I certainly try lol
We managed to get into the Westminster Abby right in time but could have spent all day in there. It is truly a marvel with the history, tombs, statues, tributes and details. Its one of those places you could go 100 times and always see something new. No pictures allowed inside but I got some around the edges where I could.
We visited the outside of Buckingham Palace and watched the royal guards march back and forth. The place is massive and beautiful... although I have to say I thought there would be nicer cars parked out front lol The palace is on the edge of Hyde Park which we walked along back to the tube. While minding the gap () Elle went one way and I went the other both to rest our weary and well used legs!
I had a restless nights sleep dreaming I was late as usual when the alarm is set for 5:10am and you have a flight you don't want to be late for! I was earlier to Heathrow than I needed to be so I got off on terminal 5 thinking I'd make my way to 4 and see some shops along the way. Lol! No no no, silly me. Two stops to ask directions and two express trains later I found check in lol I'm now waiting for the 1 hour 20 minute flight to Amsterdam where I have a 3 hour layover before my 10 hour 45 minute flight to Bangkok. Should I have bucked up the extra 30£ for more leg room in the exit row?....we'll soon find out!

Ray Fouquette Wow....what a great bunch of history to consume. Nice! Don't get in a taxi or tuktuk in Bangkok without a price first!!!!!
