The Tattoo Festival was amazing!! I'll admit I was a little disappointed to find out that it wasn't about the kind of tattoos we are used to, but it was a sight to be seen! I have a ton of pictures but only a couple on my camera. It was very well done and worth the show if you in Scotland around this time next year :)

This morning I asked to stay another night at the hostel but they were fully booked so the scramble to find another with a vacancy was on. Finally I found one....about an hours bus ride away in Stirling. The bus was 4£ and the stay 16£ so it really wasn't a bad deal! Unfortunately check out is 10am and I don't think they have lockers to rent, so I'm not sure if I'll have a chance to see this castle, which I have heard is better. Next I'm headed to Glasgow and going to try my hand at the rail. I'm hoping to find a 2 or 3 day tour into the highlands but I'm not sure if I had to book them earlier.

Food has been a challenge....but no more than at home really  the last hostel did not have a kitchen, this one does but I was here too late for the grocery store. I ended up getting OJ, bananas and apples from a corner store so that works for tonight.

Earlier today in Edinburgh I found a vegetarian bistro with GF food but it is prepared where cross contamination occurs so the manager ran down to the kitchen and got me a bowl of soup the chef was making that was safe :) Over and above and I was thankful as I was starving!! From there I went to David Bann, another vegetarian restaurant. Here they do their best with the contamination "we try not to poison people, we do our best". That's all I can ask for! I took a picture of it; it was amazing!!

Not a huge fan of this hostel....my room is a 12 bed mixed dorm with a shared washroom across the hall beside the common room. There are three toilets and two shower stalls. I like that there is a kitchen so I can buy the big OJ and put it in the fridge.

I'm the first in bed tonight but feeling under the weather with a cold coming on, so I think early to bed is a good idea.

PS. I see more redheads at home than I've seen here so far and lots and lots of girls are wearing nylons and tights under shorts...I guess that's the new trend!
