Road Trip!!
Andrew picked me up, a little late on my behalf I woke up late after a horrible sleep which I guess can only be expected in a 14 room dorm with a cold and taking cold pills I didn't see had caffeine in them!!
Breakfast was near George Square then off to the Glasgow Cathedral. It was breathtaking with endless photo opportunities. After picking up Andrews cute cute son we hit up the transportation museum, grocery store and Toys R Us I felt awful and ended up napping on Andrews couch while he did some of my laundry, his son played video games and then he cooked a wonderful GF dinner. I feel bad for being a lump but am so grateful as I was in rough shape. I feel much better now :) We planned my road trip, car rental, bed and breakfast, ferry ride and route to Belfast, Ireland. Andrew has travelled a lot which totally helped!
7am I was at Enterprise and ready to try my hand at driving a manual transmission on the opposite side of the road I'm used to. It's actually a lot easier than I expected! The drive was rainy and sunny and even had a couple rainbows. At some points I could have sworn I was on my way to Kelowna! I took a wrong turn or two, some for the better and some for the worse so my drive ended up being 10.5 hours.... yeah.... That was with a GPS I got to the B&B 25 mins after the latest 6pm check in to find a note on the door saying they'd be back at 9ish lol Oh man. Since nowhere here has GG I went for groceries and ended up with cheese, yogurt, grapes, rice cakes and a bottles of Spanish red for total of £9.83 I had a picnic in the car in their driveway because it was cold and rainy, they were here an hour later. My first night in a while where I get my own room!!
Tomorrow I head back to Glasgow; I'm taking a more direct route this time! My goal is to get pics of sheep and a hairy cow lol The roads are narrow, sometimes one lane, and usually a speed limit of 60mph (100kph). I white knuckled a lot on the way here, held my breath a couple times and may or may not have prayed for safety.
The weather was better at home, but the sights are new and wonderful :) I miss you all.

m Manual and the wrong side of the road! Wow, you're brave!! Hairy cow? Sounds interesting, I'm guessing there is a story there! Have fun!!
Ray Fouquette I am trying to imagine driving on the wrong side with a stick shift...?? Looks like u r eating healthy. What a .....not so great.......ride on the countryside? .....and at least u didn't have to sleep in the car but a picnic is okay. Get lots of rest....love Dad!
