hey everyone!!
This is our last day in krabi, and just wanted to give you an udate of what we've been doing since full moon.
On the thurday we went on a snorkelling trip around the island, where we had numerous snorel stops and a walk up to a waterfall. On the way back through the jungle I didn't notice a thai guy in the trees throw a fake snake on the path in front of me! I thought it was a real one and screamed! We then managed to get lost on the way back to the boat (richs fault!) But we clambered down along the waterfall and luckily mad it out in the right area. We then went to a beach for lunch and a nice snorkelling area, where I managed to get stung a few times by little jellyfish!
On the friday we we on a speed boat trip to a marine park, where we climed up to the viewpoint to get a view of loads and loads of islands and the mountain lagoon. We then went to a beach for lunch and another beach after lunch! The journey out on the speed boat wa fine. Coming back we didnt realise how rough the sea was and had the brilliiant idea of sitting at the front of the boat. The journey was an hour and a half and we rarely spent a couple of seconds on the seat before we were thrown i the air again, Amy has the bruises to show just how bad it was!! I think we were all relieved when we were off.
That evening rich went on his visa run while me and ames watched a film in one of the bars. It poured down all evening and there were at least 8 power cuts while we watched the film!
On sat we got up at 5am to make our way to Krabi. This consisted of a taxi, ferry, bus, truck, truck, bus and another truck! We arrived at 4pm and quickly found some accom in Ao Nang. Rich then met up with us later.
Yesterday (sunday), we had a needed lie in! In the afternoon we got a boat from the beach to Railay. This beach was gorgeous and the sand was amazing We sent a few hours hre wandring around and looking at th caves.
Today has been a really good day! We've been on the james bond tour, where we took a long tail boat through the mangroves and a limestone cave. We then went to Kao Tapoo (james bond island) where "the man with the golden gun" was filmed. Was really nice but very very crowded! We then went to a floating village, home of 200 families. They put on a feast for us at lunch!! After lunch we went to the monkey cave temples. I didnt think there would be as many monkeys as there were! they were everywhere, i even had the peasure of seeing a couple mating! It was amazing to see them all around, especially the babies, but it did smell quite a bit! Last stop was another waterfall and then an hour and a half trip back.
Our plan has changed and we've decided not to go to phuket as we haven't found a single person who likes it there. So tomorrow we are travelling to phi phi and are staying there for 4 nights. We then plan to travel to kuala lumpa on sat and sunday. Iv heard its very expensive in phi phi so the next time you hear from us we should be in malaysia!
Love to everyone at home, missing everone loads! becky xxx
