I've arrived safely in Santiago, Chile! It's been a long travel so far. Going to sleep on the plan around midnight and waking up in a new country was very surreal. Everything here has gone very smoothly. I'm currently at a hotel for one night in Santiago with the rest of the USAC group. Tomorrow we will meet our homestay families and spend the rest of our travels with them.

I found out a bit of information on the family I will be living with. There's a mom and dad in their mid-thirties and they have two children, 5 years old and around 9 months. The father is a Chef and the mother is a Teacher. They live in a condo just outside the city. That's the only information I've been given so far, but it's enough to get me very excited and anxious to meet them!!

I have to head off to an orientation meeting now!
