Day 56: Good job I didn't have any parrots on me.

And today was when my dreams finally came true and I made it to Hawaii. I never realised how far it was from the aminland. It's not just distance far, eben in regards to culture it is a million miles away.

So after declairing to the Hawaiian agriculturla board that I didn't have any parrots, seeds of plants in my bagges, we made out final desent, flew over Pearl harbour and landed in Honolili. I couldn;t be bothered negotiating the bus, so I just got the shuttlento my hostel. I arrived at the hostel to be told that they didnt have a dorm bed for me - so they would put me in a private room at no extra cost. Result - my own room!

It was starting to gte late and I was tires, so I just wandered around the hostel and the shops and streets nearby. it is really like Costa del sol here in Waikiki - and that is not a good things. It is really crowded, full of tourists and shops that want to sell tourists as much crap as possible. But it is a fun place and the people are really friendly and always say Aloha.

I came across a subway and just couldn't resist. I am finally able to eat, so I want to make the most of it. I then retired to my private room and I am pretty much ready to crash out. Think I will hit the beach tomorrow. :)
