I had a great birthday weekend! On Friday a bunch of us went out to Club 31. It's on top of a huge building in downtown Cape Town. Going into this experience, I was afraid that I might have a difficult time adjusting. So far that has not been the case. The VAC (Volunteer Adventure Corps) staff does a great job of creating a supportive family and teaching us the ropes. Today we hike Lions Head, which is part of Table Mountain. I am not an experienced hiker by any means but it was definitely the most beautiful and scary hike I have ever done. I have posted pictures but they do not quite capture the beauty of Lions Head. For most of the way up, the whole mountain was covered in clouds.
