I have less than a month left in South Africa! It's so crazy how fast time goes by. As I have said many times, I have had a lot of ups and downs with my internship (and working in Khayelitsha). Yesterday we secured our first school for the 5 cent project! I am really happy because now I can say I have contributed something to Empilweni. We are going back to the school on Thursday to give them the change container and talk about when we will come each month to pick up the donations, etc. Remember, this fundraiser is essentially a penny drive. I am going into the 7th week of my internship. I feel like I have seen a lot and learned a lot from what I have observed, but I also feel like I haven't really done much. Last week was kind of rough for me (which is why I haven't really posted much).
