Berlin part duex:
So after we finished our bike tour, we hopped on the metro and walked along the Berlin wall. It was interesting to see what was left of it... the entire length was graffitied with ˝street art˝. We found it interesting that the Berliners were welcomed to cover the wall with murals and make it more their own after such a terrible history.
From there, Amber and I dragged Beth into an Asian restaurant where we quickly became friends with the bartender who quickly professed his undying love for Amber... it was very cute, and we got some free drinks out of the exchange! I think the funniest part of the trip thus far happened after dinner - we left for the market square to find a place for dessert, where there were fire eaters, live musicians, and jewelery makers. Once we had settled in and gotten our respective desserts, a magician came to the table and instead of making our purses disappear (we were sort of nervous at first), he actually put on a pretty good show. We made friends with the waiter here, too, and hope he´ll come to visit us back home!
When we came back to the room, we were careful not to wake up our bunk mates from Austrailia since it was late, and when we walked in, the Australian guy screamed, successfully scaring the crap out of us... oh well.
