After uncomfortable hostel living and food for 5 euro a day in London, we just about had our limit.
Thank goodness Mr. And Mrs. Hall came to the rescue.
Family friends of my friend, we took a train an hour outside the city to the quaint English town of TK.
And boy, were we treated like royalty.
Not only was Stonehenge and TK on the agenda, but good food was as well.
Mr. Hall is a cooking condeseuir, masterfully tackling recipes I try to avoid like lasagna and creme brûlée. Its always a special treat when foodies meet and can cook things off the palate from one another.
He took my dietary restriction as a playful challenge, buying me oat crackers and gluten free bread, assuring I was not left out of each dining experience.
His cream of broccoli soup was refreshing and light, and alongside some amazing English store brand TK gluten free bread, and various cheeses, it was a quintessential mid day meal.
