The Great Life
WOW! It's been a long time since I've journaled.
Janell and I have run into several problems with school (Liberty) the last few weeks. Janell found out she is two classes shy to graduate and I ran into some problems with financial aid. Of course we took care of everything right away, but it was a massive headache. Solving the problem for Nell however means that she has to stay in Spain for an extra month, which leaves me alone to wander by myself for a month. I'm planning on meeting up with the LU history clan in Paris for a few days and then my friend Anna might come for 10 days. That leaves me with about two weeks to travel independently. Since traveling within Europe is so cheap my options are wide open. A plane ticket from Seville, Spain to London is 30 Euros.
Today we went on a tour of one of the finest wineries (sp?) in the world. Osborne. We finally arrived after being drenched in a torrential downpower for 15 minutes. We toured the facilities and saw where the keep the 500,000 barels of wine during the fermentation process. It was pretty interesting. Then we got to walk back home and once again drench ourselves with the "rain in Spain that falls softly on the plain". Here they say, "La luvilla en Sevilla es algo maravillosa" Translation: the rain in Seville is something marvelous. I don't know about you, but I don't think that rain is altogether marvelous. But then again, I am from Seattle and there it is considered much less than marvelous. Especially after 9 months of straight rain!!!
Oh well, that's life. The weather should clear up soon and then we'll be able to head back to the beach and take weekend side trips to explore all Spain has to offer. Until then...stay dry!
