So, 1 week later and I am still alive, and haven't been mugged. I am impressed, as I am sure some of the people back home are as well. There isn't much to report today, other than the fact that it is my last day in London. One of my room mates came in last night, at 3 am and then proceeded to rummage through her crap for the next half an hour. Her phone went off at 6 am, but miracuosly, she didn't hear it. These will be a few of the things that I will not miss when I leave. I walked down the street this morning to the cafe for an English style breakfast, which was quite good. After that, I caught the tube down to Kensington Palace, where I toured through, and had a look at some of Lady Di's dresses. I realized that I hadn't bought anything thus far, so I popped into Top-Shop and picked up a pair of earings and a necklace. I hit Covent Gardens one last time to buy that shampoo, and some breath mints called "snog me senseless" by a very cute English company. The market itself was pretty gaudy, and didn't exactly have much to offer, so I only picked up a birthday card for Corrine, who is turning 30 within the next few days, and a Kurt Vonnegut book, from a bookstore who apparently has a wide selection of dirty videos (I was near Soho), and a couple of postcards, which I will send off tonight, once I finish packing. Tommorow I leave for Paris, and I had a lovely sendoff tonight, when I went out for Thai with my roomates.
Cheers!
Allison
