I am writing this entry a day late (On the 17th) because I had once again decided not to stay up and be bothered, but to go to sleep at the unimaginable early hour of 7:00. So I began the day by getting up and figured out what I still had left to see in London. I had actually accomplished a fair bit in the previous days, so all that really remained were the markets and Kensington Palace. Corrine wasn't really feeling very cherry because of her predicament with her job and flat situation, so we decided to go to the Borough to have a look at the market. It's actually located beneath a tube rail, and is quite big. There is no way that it would be possible for it to exist in Canada though, because they are able to have their wares out in the open air, which may have explained why I felt ill today. I had some soulvaki, and bought some yogurt covered cranberries. After having our fill, we went to Greenwich Park, where all time is measured from. We climbed into the observatory, and I stuck me feet in the eastern and western hemispheres at the same time. I found the saying "being on top of the ball"'s literal meaning is related the Greenwich time, where their ships would set their clocks, when a ball at the top of the observatory would drop at precisely 1:00 pm. After spending some time in the park, we ventured to the edges of the tube route to go buy some fabric from a dodgy little story, which was good because I wasn't able to find any other places around. What I am actually doing is buying fabric from every place that I visit, and then I am making a quilt out of it. Credit can be given to Auntie for that idea. After the excursion I came home exhausted and ready for bed.
