So meditation is all finished with and I headed back to Chiang Mai, luckily they had some room. In my room were two guy from south Africa who were over in Thailand teaching English; anton and mark I think haha.
Anton was going to get dinner so I joined him for pad Thai and had my first glass of coke in over ten days... Best coke ever!!! After dinner, anton was going to play snooker at a men's club but said they were going to see a football match later and invited me. So I had a chilled out day, buying a few bits then skyped home which was really nice to talk to everyone; it's really funny cause they obviously want to know what I've been up to but I want to know what's going on at home: loads of course lol. Then at 5 I went to join people at the football, there was about 12 of us in total which was nice. Spoke to another three guys from our hostel, Julian from France, Rene from Germany and Liam from Southampton.
Football was 40baht a ticket so 80p lol, crazy!! The football was a bit average but the atmosphere was pretty cool. Just before half time, I noticed a big rain cloud coming and then as they whistled for half time... It absolutely chucked it down!!! We went into the stadium waiting for it to calm down, but about 20mins later, it was as crazy as before and the players started coming back on. We watched from underneath and it was just stupid, the players would kick the ball and it would just stop dead when it hit the floor.
So we decided to leave; there were no taxis outside so we kept walking and basically 25mins later I was drenched from head to foot and still no taxi. We eventually managed to find several tuk tuk's to take us back and the night improved when me and rene stopped at McDonald's for a cheeky burger.

A few people went to bed when we got back but I stayed up talking to Liam and he told me that he was heading to Myanmar; it's a country that's only recently started letting tourists in and so is still really pure and beautiful. I wanted to go but not alone so I decided then to change all my plans for the south islands and go to Myanmar instead!!!
I can't wait!!!
