... I finally got up about midday, bumped into Nicole and Tina who were gonna do a cooking course that night. So I put my name down aswell, then we just walked round chiang Mai for a long time as we got lost haha, tried and bought some local Thai fruit then went back to the hostel.
We bumped into Matt from Canada, who I vaguely remembered meeting the night before and turns out he was staying at the same place. He put his name down for the cooking course aswell.
The guy doing the course was called 'A' and he was really funny, started off by showing us their garden and all the different Thai herbs an spices they use. They had a massive cupboard of mushrooms that they use and he was saying if you can't get these mushrooms in England you can use button mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms or magic mushrooms...
I was like excuse me..?
Someone had told him we can use them and he'd then been telling people, poor guy lol.
Then we looked round a local market and then went to cook.
I chose to do pad Thai, spring rolls and a Penang curry. It was all delicious even if I say so myself.
After that finished we tried to find the night market... FAIL!! So went for drinks instead. I was panicking about money and leaving the next day so I went to bed early :)
On a random note, I also got my washing done at the place in the picture for like a pound haha. I love it here
