So I've been back in Bangkok a few days now and its actually not been that bad, I left Bangkok last time really not liking the place and its still not my favourite place but its definitely easy here and a good place to get sorted. Ive managed to do all my washing, get up to date with this and my photos and sort out my Myanmar Visa. I guess its just your typical city really.
First day here, I had a shower and then gutted my bag and practically washed everything, found some detergent in the laundry room so used that haha. Then I met a girl from chicago in my room, and we decided to check out this weekend market someone on the bus told me about.
Was pretty hot and crowded but quite a cool little market, and we managed to both get a few little bargains, and found an awesome ice cream parlour that DELIVERS, i mean come on, why dont we have this in England!! It was delicious aswell. I had to buy some new shorts cause i ripped mine rock climbing and then i wanted to buy loads of stuff as gifts for people but its so difficult because of the restrictions they have in Australia and I dont want to risk losing things. So looks like all your gifts will be from America, hope thats okay :D
Then after the market, I just watched some films in the movie room, and then met a girl from Canada who wanted to do something so i suggested going to the night market. So me, her, another girl and two guys went for food and to walk round the market. Pretty chilled out evening with me watching another film and then just crashing out in bed.
Next day, I went to get my Myanmar visa first thing which went fine. Then sat for hours uploading pictures so i hope you all appreciate it lol. Then me and Sirisha decided to check out this blues bar thats meant to be good, and we met Mike from Chicago who was going to join us so arranged to meet later that night.
Then we met Laura, who was staying in our room, and she's only from bloody lincolnshire, was nice to meet someone from the same place. So we ate delicious Pad Thai and then me, Sirisha and Mike headed off to the Jazz/blues bar. Was pretty cool in there but so loud you could barely speak, so we left and me and Mike ended up in an irish bar watching the football talking about America. He lives on a sailboat near Boston so Im so gonna visit him and go sailing :D haha!!
The rest of my time here, ive just chilled out and tried to save money.
I leave for Myanmar first thing tomorrow, and i am so so so excited. They dont even have ATMs there its that undeveloped, ive also heard that there internet is like old school dial-up so im going to pretty much off the grid for ten days now!!
Hope everyone is okay, miss people lots but not so much im not having fun :p haha
