So, we got to Krabi, and it was RAINING!!! Like really heavy raining!!
Someone told us where the cheapest places to stay were so we started walking and it was these little bungalows in the middle of the jungle really far from anything. There seemed to be no staff around and then this guy came hobbling out... think hills have eyes mixed with urban legend!! He was freaaaaaky!
He took us to this bungalow and there was two double beds in it and a bathroom which was pretty good, but it stank of damp and just didnt seem very clean.
So we said we'd go look at a place a bit closer to everything. We found another place where it was the same sort of thing, but it was cleaner and just didnt smell so bad so we booked there for just one night while we decided what to do.
The first thing i did was have a shower as it had now been 48hours of travel and no washing EUGH!! gross! Then we went to check out places to eat and that, it was so quiet because of the weather and just not what i really expected but i guess a place always look worse when its rubbish weather. That day was just spent walking around seeing what there was to do (not alot) and then luckily jakub had a laptop with him so we spent the rest of that day eating rubbish and watching dvds on his laptop, was actually nice to just relax like that.
The day after we went to see the rock climbing areas as the rain had slowed down a little, we ended up doing some free-climbing, so no harnesses but it wasnt a vertical rockface, more of a hill but it had all rocks that you needed to climb up. I was full on crapping my pants, and then we got to a section which was like a vertical abseil down so i decided to turn around at this point, purely because i couldnt see how i could get back up that and didnt fancy being on the news because they got air rescue out, which of course would be my luck!
So i turned round and had to go down the first bit by myself which was scary but i did it, so i was really pleased and i can now tick that off my bucket list i guess. I found a little bay where people were rock climbing so just hung out there reading and taking pictures, then i went for a dip in the sea, it was crazy the waves literally knocked me off my feet and the current was so strong you could feel it pulling you back.
We ended up being in Krabi three days altogether but apart from the above we just ate and watched films so by saturday we were both very ready to leave, and of course the sun came out that day haha.
Anyway, we headed back to Krabi Town, i got my overnight bus to Bangkok and Jakub went off to Malaysia.
Bus ride was as normal as ever and I got back to Lub D in Bangkok which strangely felt like going home haha....
