The plan for today was to walk to the lighthouse which is right on the edge of Byron Bay and usually takes a few hours.
First, myself and Liesbeth went to a restaurant called St. Elmo for dinner. It was a really nice place and I had a clam and mussel dish which was delicious. We also shared this flatbread which came with Marie River salt and is a pinky colour... I've never got excited over salt before but this really was THE most amazing salt, it completely changed the taste of the bread and was just amazing!!!
Then we went to a famous ice cream place called "in the pink" and I had a Ferrero Rocher ice cream with hot fudge which was so soo good!!!
After that, we decided to have some much needed exercise and walk to the lighthouse: it was a really nice coastal walk and the pathway wasn't too steep so it was quite chilled. Just round the corner from the lighthouse is a spot which is the most easterly part of Australia so is the place which first gets the sun every morning: I though this was pretty cool so had an obligatory tourist photo!!! The lighthouse was really pretty and I managed to get some pretty good pictures of it; we chilled out there for a bit and then headed back to Byron.
When we got back, we cooked some food and then watched 21 jump street.
Another successful chilled out day in Byron!!!
