Had a pretty uneventful bus journey to Byron Bay.
The hostel I'm staying at is really nice but it is so quiet, for the first couple of hours I barely saw any other people. Then I met the other girl in my room who is from Italy; she seems nice enough but is leaving tomorrow. I actually started to get really annoyed that I'd left Brisbane, which I was really enjoying to come here and there's like no one around.
I decided to go to Woolworths to get some food in so spent a good half an hour wondering round. There are some very interesting characters wondering around Byron bay; when I was queuing to pay for my shopping, a woman behind me accused me of pushing in when I'd been stood infront of her the whole time, crazy lady!!!
Anyway, I cooked some tea and then got talking to 3 girls who work at the hostel; they all seem really nice, and they were filling me in on some of the crazy stuff that happens at Byron bay so looks like I could be in for a few fun days.
Later on that night, I went to the TV room to chill out and after about an hour another girl came in the room. She was called Liesbeth and is from Sydney, she's really nice and knows the front guy from pendulum which is pretty cool and was really interesting to find out that Pendulum aren't even that big here which is crazy considering how big they are in England. She also said that when I get back to Sydney after my little trip to Melbourne I can go and stay with her which is really cool and really nice of her :D
Anyway, we stayed up talking for a bit longer and then Janine, one of the girls that works at the hostel came and joined us and we were all talking for a while.
Hopefully it's not gonna be as bad here as I first thought :)
